Muyu Shorts
This project is born from the idea that we are seeds, seeds that have been scattered in different parts of the world with the purpose of growing and flourishing in different fields with the purpose of fostering our roots wherever we are. Muyu in Kichwa translates to seeds, corn represents the cycle of life, from seed to harvest reflects birth, growth, maturity and death. A process that is also related to human existence. Beyond being a food, corn is a sacred being that strengthens our bond with our ancestors and collective memory. This project is a collection of stories from the past and present that reflects different experiences of young Kichwa people. This part of the project aims to highlight how everyone is a storyteller in their own way and to show how many of us have similar experiences that connect us whether it's about identity here in the diaspora or back home. As this part of the project is user generated content, I hope that more people participate in sharing their experience and stories so other people could know that there is more people out there with similar experiences.
